ARROW: "SEEING RED"

The CW has released a description for "Seeing Red," the April 23 episode of Arrow.

Here's how the episode is described:

"The mirakuru sends Roy (Colton Haynes) into an uncontrollable rage and he unleashes on the city. After Roy's deadly fight with a police officer, Oliver (Stephen Amell) realizes the mirakuru has taken over Roy completely and must figure out a way to stop him. Things get more complicated after Sara (Caity Lotz) declares that Roy is too far gone and the only way to stop him is to kill him.

"Meanwhile, Thea (Willa Holland) believes she can break through to Roy so she goes on camera at Moira's (Susanna Thompson) campaign rally to lure him to Verdant. Her ploy works but after Roy attacks Thea, Team Arrow unleashes on him."

Doug Aarniokoski directed the episode, written by Wendy Mericle and Beth Schwartz.

DEADPOOL SETS GUINNESS WORLD RECORD

Marvel Comics' Deadpool #27 set a Guinness World Records title for the most comic book characters on a single issue cover, the publisher announced.

The oversized cover of Deadpool #27 by Scott Koblish, in stores on Wednesday and featuring the wedding of Deadpool, includes an 232 characters and creators. With a total of 224 familiar comic book characters, it's the most on a single issue cover ever, setting the Guinness World Records title.

Deadpool editor Jordan White said, "When artist Scott Koblish proposed this cover layout to me, I thought he was crazy...but it's the kind of crazy you have to respect. I think there's no better testament to both his insanity and the amazing cover he and colorist Val Staples produced than an officially recognized world record."

BRIEFLY

CHARMED LIVES: Zenescope Entertainment and CBS Consumer Products are bringing Charmed back to comic book and graphic novel formats this fall. Zenescope published the first 24 issues of the bestselling series from June 2010 through September 2012.

The first issue of the ongoing monthly Season 10 of Charmed will debut at New York Comic Con in October. Original comic book series writer Paul Ruditis will edit the series and Zenescope writer Pat Shand will pen the new arc. The art team will be announced next month.

"Charmed fans are an extremely rabid and loyal group. They write us all the time, asking about Season 10 since it’s been almost two years since the last issue was released," said Zenescope editor-in-chief Ralph Tedesco. We're happy to let them all know that it's been worth the wait -- we're coming back with a brand new arc and a ton of surprises that we feel will absolutely satisfy hardcore Charmed fans, while also appealing to new readers."

VERY BRIEFLY: DC Comics has announced a July 9 launch for New Suicide Squad #1, by writer Sean Ryan and artist Jeremy Roberts. .... Producer David S. Goyer and screenwriter Justin Marks are teaming for Warner Bros.' adaptation of Vertigo's FBP: Federal Bureau of Physics, Deadline reports.
