PEYTON REED ON ANT-MAN:Marvel has announced that Peyton Reed will direct its Ant-Man movie, with Adam McKay contributing to the script.

Reed replaces Edgar Wright, who departed the movie two weeks ago. His film credits include Yes Man, The Break-Up, Down with Love and Bring It On.

Here's how Marvel describes the movie, due in theaters on July 17, 2015:

"Armed with the astonishing ability to shrink in scale but increase in strength, con-man Scott Lang (Paul Rudd) must embrace his inner-hero and help his mentor, Dr. Hank Pym (Michael Douglas), protect the secret behind his spectacular Ant-Man suit from a new generation of towering threats. Against seemingly insurmountable obstacles, Pym and Lang must plan and pull off a heist that will save the world."

FRIDAY BOX OFFICE: The Fault in Our Stars topped the domestic box office on Friday with an estimated $26.1 million to runner-up Edge of Tomorrow's $10.6 million.

X-Men: Days of Future Past placed fourth with $4.5 million, pushing its total to $178.9 million. The Amazing Spider-Man 2 brought in $0.5 million to push its total to $194.9 million.

NEW DARK HORSE TITLE: Dark Horse Comics has announced a Nov. 9 launch for Resurrectionists, an ongoing series by writer Fred Van Lente, artists Maurizio Rosenzweig and Moreno Dinisio and cover artist Juan Doe.

Here's how the book is described:

"Framed architect-turned-thief Jericho Way has discovered he'a Resurrectionist, one of a select group of people who can not only remember their past lives, but become them. Two groups are now after his services -- the Sojourn corporation, which wants to exploit his powers for mysterious purposes, and a motley crew of modern-day tomb robbers who have been trying to pull the same impossible heist for 3,000 years -- and if Jericho joins them, he may steal back his own future!"
