THE FLASH: "ALL STAR TEAM UP"

The CW has released a description of "All Star Team Up," the Tuesday, April 14 episode of The Flash.

Here's how the episode is described:

"Barry (Grant Gustin) is surprised when Felicity Smoak (guest-star Emily Bett Rickards) arrives from Starling City along with her boyfriend, Ray Palmer (guest-star Brandon Routh), who flies in as the Atom. They've come to visit S.T.A.R. Labs as Ray needs help with his suit. Their timing turns out to be fortuitous because it's all hands on deck after a meta human named Brie Larvin (guest star Emily Kinney) unleashes hundreds of robotic bees to attack and kill her former co-workers, including Dr. Tina McGee (guest star Amanda Pays). A group dinner with Barry, Felicity, Ray, Iris (Candice Patton) and Eddie (Rick Cosnett) turns into a disaster."

Kevin Tancharoen directed the episode, written by Grainne Godfree and Kai Yu Wu.

Upcoming repeats of The Flash on The CW include "The Nuclear Man" and "Fall Out" on Thursday, April 2, "Out of Time" on Tuesday, April 7 and "Rogue Time" and "Tricksters" on Thursday, April 9.

MARVEL COMICS' SPIDER-ISLAND

Marvel Comics has announced a July release for Spider-Island #1, a Secret Wars title

Writer Christos Gage and artist Paco Diaz team for the first of two stories in the book.

Here's how the story is described:

"The Spider-Queen has won, turning her domain into an island full of Spider-Madness. Peter Parker has been lost, her dangerous gambit all but complete. With Spider-Man defeated and captured, all hope lies in the hands of Flash Thompson -- the symbiote wielding hero known as Agent Venom! But does he stand a chance?"

"Flash carries a great burden here," Gage said. "Due to his symbiote's vulnerability to the Spider-Queen's sonic powers, he failed to save his hero, Spider-Man or New York. Now he drives himself mercilessly to find redemption, by any means necessary."

The second story features the return of MC2's Mayday Parker -- now Spider-Woman -- in a new story from her original creators, Tom DeFalco, Ron Frenz and Sal Buscema.

Humberto Ramos provides the cover.
