THE SIMPSONS: "EVERY MAN'S DREAM"

Fox has released three images from "Every Man's Dream," the Season 27 opener of The Simpsons, premiering Sunday, Sept. 27 at 8 p.m. (ET/PT).
An official synopsis has not been released yet, but the episode will include Marge and Homer seeing a marriage counselor and Marge beginning a new relationship without Homer.
The third image features Candace, who is voiced by Lena Dunham.

VALIANT'S NINJAK: OPERATION: DEADSIDE

Valiant Entertainment has announced "Operation: Deadside," a four-issue story arc beginning in December's Ninjak #10 -- by writer Matt Kindt and artist Doug Braithwaite -- that features Shadowman.
Here's how the story is described:
"In 2015, a covert military intelligence unit sent a team of 20 agents and one special operative into a parallel dimension. Only one came back.
"The purpose of their mission was classified. Now, out of options, MI-6 has recruited their most elite operative - codname: Ninjak -- to follow the doomed mission's sole witness -- the mysterious occult specialist Punk Mambo -- back into the dimension called Deadside...and bring her missing teammates home.
"What will they find there? And who will be waiting for them?"
"I've been excited to bring Shadowman back for a while. He's got a pretty dark past and some murky motivations that help him live up to his name," Kindt said. "As a writer, it's some pretty juicy stuff to sink your teeth into. I also think that reader anticipation and curiosity over the character is another thing that really makes him attractive... So picking up a character like that and catching up with where he is and what he's done since is going to be pretty dark...and pretty fun."
The first 40-page chapter of "Operation: Deadside" will also feature enhanced glow-in-the-dark covers by Doug Braithwaite, Tom Muller and Trevor Hairsine.
BRIEFLY
NEW MARVEL TITLE: Marvel Comics has announced a December launch for Starbrand & Nightmask #1, a new ongoing series from writer Greg Weisman and artist Domo Stanton.
Here's how the series is described:
"Imbued with cosmic powers, they've battled alongside some of the universe's greatest champions. And repelled invasions from destructive alien forces. But nothing will prepare them for the likes of class registration, choosing a major and midterms. What meal plan will cover a cosmic metabolism? Can two all-powerful entities share a dorm room the size of a roach motel? Can you safely teleport to Mars after partying all night long at your first kegger?"
DIGITAL DEAL: ComiXology has announced a digital distribution agreement with Kodansha Comics, the manga publisher known for Sailor Moon, Akira, Fairy Tail, and Attack on Titan. The agreement with Kodansha Comics sees the immediate addition of more than 350 manga titles to comiXology's offerings, with several new series to be added in the coming months.
