MARVEL COMICS' WEIRDWORLD
Marvel Comics has announced a December launch for an ongoing Weirdworld series, written by Sam Humphries with art by Mike Del Mundo.
Here's how Marvel describes the series:
"Imagine a world of sword and sorcery, a land where lost things go. Now imagine being trapped there with zero sword or sorcery experience! Meet Becca, an ordinary girl in an extraordinary world with one mission in mind -- get home alive! Easier said than done! But how did she come to be here? And how can she hope to escape in one piece?"
"Weirdworld is a place where anything can happen," Humphries said. "Weirdworld is a place inside the Marvel Universe. Weirdworld is a place where the lost can be found. But only if you're strong enough...
"Weirdworld is a place that is ever changing, always chaotic, and a place of infinite discovery. Its essential nature is so mysterious that no complete map can ever be created. It is a polyglot of fantasy, horror, sci-fi, and other weird things dug up from the brains of myself and Mike Del Mundo."

FAMILY GUY PREMIERE: Fox has released a gallery of images from "Peternormal Activity," the Season 13 premiere of Family Guy, set to air on Sunday, Sept. 17.

NEW IDW TITLE: IDW Publishing has announced a December launch for The Eighth Seal, originally published digitally by Thrillbent.com. The series is written by James Tynion IV, with art by Jeremy Rock and covers by Ming Doyle, Riley Rossmo, Travis Foreman and others.
IDW describes The Eighth Seal as "a story about a woman whose visceral nightmares about transforming into a demonic monster start to bleed into reality. But this woman isn’t just any woman; she is the First Lady of the United States, and this is all happening under an intense political spotlight. As she struggles with the loss of her civilian lifestyle, she is also seemingly losing grasp on her mind…or do these visions hold some darker truth?"
