MARVEL'S AGENTS OF S.H.I.E.L.D.: "UPRISING"

ABC has released a description and Image gallery from "Uprising," the episode of Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. premiering on Tuesday, Oct. 4 at 10 p.m. (ET/PT).

Here's how the episode is described:

"Mack and Fitz attempt to track down and neutralize a rogue group looking to end Inhuman Registration worldwide, Simmons and Dr. Radcliffe only have hours to save May before she succumbs forever to her mysterious illness."

"Uprising" was written by Craig Titley and directed by Magnus Martens.

THE FLASH: "PARADOX"

The CW has released images and details from "Paradox," the episode of The Flash premiering on Tuesday, Oct. 11.

Here's how the network describes the episode:

"Barry (Grant Gustin) realizes the effects from Flashpoint are much greater than he thought. Meanwhile, Barry meets new co-worker Julian Albert (Tom Felton) and is surprised by Julian's immediate disdain for Barry."

Ralph Hemecker directed the episode, written by Aaron Helbing and Todd Helbing.

DARK HORSE COMICS NEWS ROUNDUP

Dark Horse Comics has announced further collaborations with Evan Dorkin and Sarah Dyer. In 2017, Dark Horse will publish a trade paperback of Calla Cthulhu and a hardcover collection of Dork!

Calla Cthulhu, originally published by Stela, is a modern twist on Lovecraft's mythos. Calla Cthulhu tells the story of Calla Tafali, a teenager of the Great Old Ones’ bloodline, as she battles supernatural monsters, human assassins, and her uncle, the King in Yellow. Calla must resist her uncle's call to embrace her dark heritage while also preventing the awakening of the R'lyeh, the Dread One. Co-creator Erin Humiston pencils, Mario A. Gonzalez inks, and Bill Mudron colors the graphic novel.

Dark Horse will also collect Dorkin's series Dork! into a hardcover edition. The Dork! hardcover collects material from Dork! #1-11 and miscellaneous extras.

Calla Cthulhu goes on sale August 16, 2017. Dork! will be available for purchase in late 2017.

ANGEL SERIES: Dark Horse announced a Jan. 18 launch for Angel Season 11, from writer Corinna Bechko, artist Geraldo Borges and colorist Michelle Madsen. Scott Fischer and Jeff Dekal \both created covers.

Here's how the book is described:

"Angel Season 11 finds Angel being tormented by memories of his past. His visions link his dark past to a Big Bad coming in the future. The goddess Illyria intervenes and assists Angel as he discovers that it might be possible to change the future by traveling back in time to change the past."



BRIEFLY

NINJAK: Valiant Entertainment has offered up the first official image of Michael Rowe as Colin King, aka Ninjak, from its feature-length original digital series, directed by Bat in the Sun's Aaron & Sean Schoenke.

The cast also includes Kevin Porter, Ciera Foster, Jason David Frank, John Morrison Derek Theler (and Chantelle Barry.

NEW ARROW: The CW has released a description for "The Recruits," the episode of Arrow premiering on Wednesday, Oct. 12.

Here's how the episode is described:

"Oliver's (Stephen Amell) new recruits for Team Arrow are Curtis (Echo Kellum), Wild Dog (guest-star Rick Gonzalez) and Evelyn Sharp (guest-star Madison McLaughlin). Unfortunately, the Green Arrow's training methods prove to be too much for some of them to handle. Meanwhile, in the flashbacks, Oliver's initiation into the Bratva continues."

James Bamford directed the episode, written by Speed Weed and Beth Schwartz.

WWE COMIC: BOOM! Studos has announced a January launch for WWE, an ongoing series written by Dennis Hopeless and Rob Thibodeaux, with art by Eduard Petrovich, Rob Guillory.

Here's how the first story arc is described:

"Seth Rollins. Roman Reigns. Dean Ambrose. Together they formed The Shield, one of the most dominant factions in WWE history -- until the ultimate opportunist Seth chose to betray the group at the behest of Triple H, the King of Kings who has cemented himself as the authority in control of WWE. Now, following a near career-ending injury, Seth is back on the hunt for the WWE Championship, a journey that will send him on a collision course with his former brothers."
