DC'S LEGENDS OF TOMORROW: "FELLOWSHIP OF THE SPEAR"

The CW has released images and details from "Fellowship of the Spear," the episode of DC's Legends of Tomorrow premiering on Tuesday, March 21.

Here's how the network describes the episode:

"The Legends must devise a plan to retrieve the last remaining fragments of the Spear of Destiny from the Legion of Doom. They find themselves in France at the height of World War I, faced with the knowledge that they must destroy the mystical object. They enlist the help of a soldier by the name of John Ronald Reuel Tolkin (guest-star Jack Turner) and find that the Spear is leading them into the heart of the war. Meanwhile, the team must all resist the temptation of the Spear, and the return of a former teammate."

Ben Bray directed the episode, written by Keto Shimizu and Matthew Maala..

RIVERDALE: "CHAPTER NINE: LA GRANDE ILLUSION"

The CW has released images, and details from "Chapter Nine: La Grande Illusion," the episode of Riverdale premiering on Thursday, April 6.

Here's how the network describes the episode:

"Archie (KJ Apa) reluctantly agrees to escort Cheryl (Madelaine Petsch) to her family's official start of maple syrup tapping because he gets an offer that could help his future. Archie starts to become skeptical of the real reason the Blossoms are so eager to help him, however he gets some helpful information for Betty (Lili Reinhart) about her sister. Veronica (Camila Mendes) is trying to be nice, and unbeknownst to her, befriends a classmate that her father's illegal doings has hurt. Hermione (Marisol Nichols) is conflicted about telling Fred (Luke Perry) the truth. Meanwhile, Alice (Madchen Amick) is ready to get revenge on the Blossoms once and for all with the help of her two daughters."

Lee Rose directed the episode, written by James DeWille.

STEVE TREVOR ONE-SHOT: DC Comics has announced a June 7 release for Wonder Woman: Steve Trevor #1, a one-shot from writer Tim Seeley and artist Christian Duce.

Here's how the story is described:

"They have been friends and lovers, but more importantly they have been there for each other over the decades. From Steve's first moments on Paradise Island to the day that Diana left her home to join Man's World, they have worked together and fought to protect humanity. But now, Steve Trevor will be forced to face an ancient foe, and he'll have to do it alone. Where is Wonder Woman? And what will become of Steve Trevor? Find out in this thrilling, action-packed story."

"Steve and Diana's longtime friendship, despite their coming from separate worlds, is inspiring. But in this story, we'll get a chance to see Steve come face to face with a villain from Wonder Woman's past, who he'll have to overcome without her help," Seeley said. "I'm excited to dive back into the life of Steve Trevor, and give him a new and crazy adventure of his own."

FRIDAY BOX OFFICE: Disney's Beauty and the Beast topped the domestic box office on its opening day Friday with an estimated $63.8 million, easily topping second-place Kong: Skull Island's $7.3 million.

Logan was third with $4.7 million, pushing its total to $171.2 million. The LEGO Batman Movie was seventh with $1.2 million, pushing its total to $169.3 million.
