WEEKEND BOX OFFICE: War for the Planet of the Apes won the domestic weekend box office with an opening weekend of $56.5 million.

Spider-Man: Homecoming was second with $46.2 million, pushing its total to $208.2 million. Wonder Woman was sixth with $6.8 million, pushing its total to $380.6 million.

Transformers: The Last Knight was ninth with $2.8 million, pushing its total to $124.8 million. Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 was 13th with $0.5 million, pushing its total to $386.5 million.

NEW TEEN TITANS GO!: The four-part "The Day the Night Stopped Beginning to Shine and Became Dark Even Thought it Was the Day" story arc of Teen Titans Go! begins on August 1 on Cartoon Network with the "Chapter One: I Saw You Dance" episode.

Here's how the episode is described:

"Cyborg becomes traipped in the alternate reality of Night Begins to Shine with a dragon who wants to seal the song for his own evil purposes."

The episode was written by Michael Jelenic and Aaron Horvath and was directed by Luke Cormican and Peter Rida Michail.

NEW PREACHER: AMC has released the description for "Sokosha," the episode of Preacher premiering on Monday, July 24:

"The Saint corners the trio; Jesse makes a deal with the killer Cowboy; Jesse races to save Tulip and Cassidy."
