SY-FY'S KRYPTON ON MARCH 21

Syfy has announced a March 21 launch for Krypton, the series that follows Superman's grandfather, Seg-El, as he attempts to bring order to his house, as well as his planet.

Here's how the show is described:

"Why is all of this Seg-El's burden to bear? It turns out he will receive a visit from none other than Earth-based time traveler Adam Strange (Shaun Sipos), who will warn him that 'he's under the clock to save his beloved world from chaos.' Apparently that will entail restoring his family's honor, along with whipping the perpetually messed-up Kryptonian leadership into some kind of shape.

"Seg-El is going to be faced with all kinds of difficult choices, because most important of all, he's going to have to choose whether to save Krypton, or let it be destroyed in order to allow his famous grandson to achieve his destiny. The time-travel-based meddling of Adam Strange is sure to play a pivotal role here."

The series stars Cameron Cuffe as Seg-El, Blake Ritson as Brainiac, Shaun Sipos as Adam Strange, Georgina Campbell as Lyta Zod, Elliot Cowan as Daron-Vex, Ann Ogbomo Alura Zod, Rasmus Hardiker as Kem, Wallis Day as Nyssa and Ian McElhinney as Val-El.

Krypton is from Warner Horizon Scripted Television and is executive produced by David S. Goyer through his Phantom Four banner, alongside Cameron Welsh, who serves as showrunner.
