SUPERGIRL: "FORT ROZZ"

The CW has released images and details from "Fort Rozz," the episode of Supergirl premiering on Monday, Jan. 22.

Here's how the network describes the episode:

"As Reign (Odette Annable) continues to terrorize the city, Supergirl (Melissa Benoist) teams up with Saturn Girl (guest-star Amy Jackson), and the two recruit Supergirl's former enemies, Livewire (guest-star Brit Morgan) and Psi (guest-star Yael Grobglas), to form a team for a mission to Fort Rozz to recover a prisoner who has information on how to defeat Reign once and for all. Meanwhile, Alex (Chyler Leigh) babysits Ruby (guest-star Emma Tremblay)."

Sarah Douglas guest-stars as Jindah Kol Rozz

Gregory Smith directed the episode, written by Gabriel Llanas and Anna Musky-Goldwyn.

AMC RENEWS THE WALKING DEAD, PROMOTES PAIR

AMC has renewed The Walking Dead for a ninth season, to premiere in later 2018.

In addition, current showrunner Scott M. Gimple is being elevated to chief content pfficer, overseeing the entire Dead television universe, including The Walking Dead, Fear the Walking Dead and potential brand extensions on a variety of platforms/ Angela Kang, who has been a writer on the show since 2011 and co-executive producer since 2013, is being promoted by Gimple to executive producer and showrunner of The Walking Dead, starting with Season 9.

"This is an enormously important day for the entire The Walking Dead television universe. We are proud to acknowledge Angela's significant contribution to the series and to set a clear path forward for a ninth season under her direction," said Charlie Collier, president of AMC, SundanceTV and AMC Studios.

"Further, with gratitude and admiration, we also recognize Scott's broad impact on, and leadership of, the content that fuels our TWD universe. Together, we will dream bigger and more broadly than ever before. I know I speak for Angela, Scott and everyone at AMC when I say thanks most of all to the fans and the many talented people who have helped AMC play Dead."

BOOM! STUDIOS' WRESTLEMANIA SPECIAL

BOOM! Studios has announced an April release for WWE Wrestlemania 2018 Special #1, celebrating the WWE's annual event.

The oversized one-shot features WWE Superstars John Cena, The Miz, Jeff Hardy and more, including the untold story of the legendary WrestleMania III match between "Macho Man" Randy Savage and Ricky "The Dragon" Steamboat.

Writers Ryan Ferrier, Tini Howard, Lan Pitts and Julian May are joined by artists Kendall Goode and Rodrigo Lorenzo for what BOOM! calsl "the biggest WWE comic of the season."

“WrestleMania is the ultimate thrill ride for the WWE Universe, and our goal is to bring that same spirit to the comics pages." said editor Chris Rosa. "This year, WWE Wrestlemania 2018 Special #1 focuses on some of the biggest moments in sports entertainment history, ranging from classics like the matches between Macho Man and The Dragon, to shockers like The Miz's WWE Championship Match at WrestleMania 27."

WWE Wrestlemania 2018 Special #1 features a main cover by Rahzzah and an NWO variant cover by Marco D'Alfonso.

Star Wars: The Last Jedi was seventh with $2.7 million, pushing its total to $583.0 million.
