BOOM! STUDIOS' ADVENTURE TIME: SEASON 11
BOOM! Studios has announced an October launch for Adventure Time Season 11 #1, the official comic book continuation of the Cartoon Network animated series.
The story of the Land of Ooo will continue on in comic book form from writer Sonny Liew and artist Marina Julia.
"I hadn't watched many animated series since the heyday of The Simpsons, but once I sat down and watched Adventure Time, I was immediately hooked," Liew said. "It gave me a sense of afternoons spent watching cartoons as a kid, somehow appealing to both the adult and kid inside you. I didn't try to analyze the form or structure too much, wanting to just enjoy the series on its own... but I suppose now I'm working on scripts for the comics, I'll have to watch it again with a different lens, and try to figure out the methods behind the magic."
"I've had a lot of fun working on Adventure Time: Beginning of the End, and I'm looking forward to getting to work on more Adventure Time," said Marina Julia. "It's a really fun series and to be able to play in that space is always really enjoyable."
The first issue features a main cover by Jorge Corona, along with variant covers by Julie Benbasset, Audrey Mok and Paul Pope.

WALKING DEAD HOME RELEASE: Lionsgate has announced an August 21 release for The Walking Dead: The Complete Eighth Season on Blu-ray, DVD and Digital.

Here's how the season is described:
"Together with the Hilltop and the Kingdom, Rick and the Alexandrians bring All Out War to Negan and his forces. The Saviors are larger, better equipped, and ruthless, but Rick and the unified communities are fighting for the promise of a brighter future. The battle lines are drawn as they launch into a kinetic, action-packed offensive."
Special features include:

MARVEL TEASERS: Marvel Comics has released teasers image for October's Champions #25, from Jim Zub, Sean Izaakse and Max Dunbar.
Here's how Marvel describes the issue:
"Jim Zub, Sean Izaakse, and Max Dunbar are taking the Champions on the ultimate quest -- one that involves an adventure beyond what could ever be imagined! But as they travel through this twisted fantasy realm, one thing becomes clear: they may never be the same."
