SPIDER-MAN TOPS BOX OFFICE
Sony Pictures' Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse topped the domestic box office on Friday in its opening day.
The animated movie brought in an estimated $12.6 million.
The Mule was second with $5.8 million. Mortal Engines was third with $2.8 million.
Dr. Seuss' The Grinch was fourth with $2.7 million, pushing its total to $230.4 million. Ralph Breaks The Internet was fifth with $2.1 million, pushing its total to $146.9 million.
Once Upon a Deadpool has brought in $2.0 million since its release on Wednesday.

Syfy has released a description and images from "Christ Pose," the episode of Van Helsing airing on Friday, Dec. 21 at 10 p.m. (ET/PT).
Here's how Syfy describes the episode:
"Scarlett is reunited with Axel but he is badly injured before they can find Vanessa. A mysterious man helps them find their way. Flesh and Jolene are fugitives on the run from Blaktek."
