MARVEL'S GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY: "BLACK VORTEX"

eMarvel's Guardians of the Galaxy: Mission Breakout will feature distinct animation styles in the upcoming "Black Vortex" story arc.

Here's how part one, scheduled for Sunday, May 5 at 9:30 p.m. EDT/PDT, is described:

e"When the Guardians become separated in the Black Vortex, Gamora wakes up in a children's fairy tale, while Drax is trapped in a comic book.

eHere's how part two, set for May 12 at 9:30, is described:

e"While caught in a CG sinister packing factory, Rocket must search for his best friend Groot and escape."

Here's how part three is described:

"Quill finds himself in a claymation world where the Milano is flying into the sun, threatening to melt him. Meanwhile, Groot and Drax must fight Ronan in a Golden Age world."

Here's how part four is described:

Gamora and Quill battle their way through an 8-bit Super Marvel World.

THE FLASH: "SNOW PACK"

The CW has released details and images from "Snow Pack," the episode of The Flash airing on Tuesday, April 23.

Here's how The CW describes the episode:

"When Icicle (guest-star Kyle Secor) returns to enact the next phase of his devious plan, Caitlin (Danielle Panabaker) and her mother, Dr. Carla Tannhauser (guest-star Susan Walters), must resolve their long-combative relationship to defeat the icy monster. After Barry (Grant Gustin) makes a big decision about their family without consulting her, Iris (Candice Patton) decides to take matters into her own hands. "

Jeff Cassidy directed the episode, written by Jonathan Butler and Gabriel Garza.

ARCHIE COMICS FOR JULY For Archie Comics' solicitations for July, CLICK HERE.

FRIDAY BOX OFFICE Shazam! dropped to second place at the box office on Friday with $6.1 million, behind first-place The Curse of La Llorona's $11.8 million. It pushed the film's domestic total to $110.1 million.

Captain Marvel was fourth with $3.1 million, pushing its domestic total to $394.0 million.

NO RETURNS: Fox has canceled Marvel's The Gifted after two seasons.



GOTHAM: "THE BEGINNING"

Fox has released images and details from "The Beginning," the series finale of Gotham airing on Thursday, Aprii 25.

Here's how Fox describes the episode:

"The series flash-forwards 10 years into the future, as Bruce is set to return to Gotham for the opening of the new Wayne Tower. A series of crimes leads Gordon to believe Penguin and The Riddler are up to their old tricks. However, when Bullock is framed for a murder, Gordon begins to piece together an even more sinister plot targeting the city, and a new figure emerges from the shadows to be the hero Gotham desperately needs."
