BRIEFLY

NEW VALIANT SERIES: Valiant Entertainment has announced an Oct. 30 launch for Roku, a four-issue limited series from writer Cullen Bunn and artist Ramon F. Bachs.

Here's how the book is described:

"Valiant's villainous redhead! Former MI6 operative turned contract killer, Roku's new mission will test her in ways she never expected!"

"I wanted this story to show off a dark underbelly of the Valiant Universe, a corner of the world populated by powerful criminal organizations. My hope is that these criminal outfits start plaguing other Valiant characters," Bunn said. "Really, I'm just here to cause trouble."

WEEKEND BOX OFFICE: Spider-Man: Far From Home topped the domestic box office for a second consecutive weekend with a projected $45.3 million take, bringing its total to $274.5 million.

Toy Story 4 was second with $20.6 million, pushing its total to $346.3 million.

Men in Black: International was 10th with $2.2 million, pushing its total to $76.4 million. Avengers: Endgame was 12th with $1.6 million, pushing its total to $851.2 million.
