THE KITCHEN GALLERY
Warner Bros. Pictures has released a gallery of images from The Kitchen, arriving in theaters on Friday, August 9.
Here's how the movie is described:
"New York City, 1978. The 20 blocks of pawnshops, porn palaces and dive bars between 8th Avenue and the Hudson River owned by the Irish mafia and known as Hell's Kitchen was never the easiest place to live. Or the safest. But for mob wives Kathy, Ruby and Claire -- played by Melissa McCarthy, Tiffany Haddish, and Elisabeth Moss -- things are about to take a radical, dramatic turn. When their husbands are sent to prison by the FBI the women take business into their own hands, running the rackets and taking out the competition...literally."
The Kitchen, from New Line Cinema and BRON Creative, is written and directed by Andrea Berloff, who was nominated for an Oscar for Original Screenplay for Straight Outta Compton.
The film also stars Domhnall Gleeson, James Badge Dale, Brian d'Arcy James, with Margo Martindale, Common and Bill Camp), with an ensemble cast including Jeremy Bobb, E.J. Bonilla, Wayne Duvall, Annabella Sciorra and Myk Watford.
Berloff's screenplay was based on the comic book series created for DC Vertigo by Ollie Masters and Ming Doyle. The film was produced by Michael De Luca and Marcus Viscidi. Serving as executive producers were Richard Brener, Michael Disco, Dave Neustadter, Aaron L. Gilbert, Jason Cloth, Elishia Holmes, and Adam Schlagman.

IDW PUBLISHING'S READ ONLY MEMORIES
MidBoss has partnered with IDW Publishing to expand the Read Only Memories universe with a new comic book series, set to begin releasing in monthly installments in December.
A Limited Run physical Nintendo Switch release of 2064: Read Only Memories will also release in the fourth quarter of 2019.
Here's how the comic is described:
"Return to the colorful cyberpunk future of Read Only Memories in a brand new story involving sentient AI, love and a web of conspiracy. Taking place in the years between 2064: Read Only Memories and Read Only Memories: Neurodiver, the next upcoming mystery adventure game in the Read Only Memories universe, IDWfs series features Lexi Rivers, formerly a detective and now a private investigator. When a robot arrives at her door seeking a lost lover, she is drawn into a journey to the seemingly peaceful beaches of Santa Cruz."
Each issue will feature full-color illustrations by Stefano Simeone, who has also worked with Dark Horse, Boom! Studios and The Walt Disney Company on properties including Star Wars. The story will be woven by Sina Grace.
"We're blessed to work with extremely talented creators for our first foray into media outside of video games," said Cade Peterson, CEO of MidBoss. "The Read Only Memories universe still has a lot of room to explore diversity and inclusion through the richness of the world and the relatable characters that inhabit it. Bringing other creatives on board to help explore everything the setting has to offer is the logical next step."
