MARVEL STUDIOS AT D23

The Black Panther sequel now has a release date, Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige revealed at D23 on Saturday.

The movie will be released on May 6, 2022.

Feige was joined on stage by returning director Ryan Coogler. The film does not have an official title yet.

"We're working really hard and taking out time because we want it to be right," Coogler said.

Game of Thrones' Kit Harrington will be playing Black Knight in Marvel Studios' Eternals movie, Marvel also revealed at D23 on Saturday.

Eternals is scheduled for a Nov. 6, 2020 release. Feige introduced the entire cast at D23.

MARVEL'S SPIDER-MAN IN SEPTEMBER

Following are episodes of Marvel's Spider-Man scheduled to premiere in September on Disney XD.

"The Day Without Spider-Man," Sunday, Sept. 8 at 9:30 p.m.

The Blood Gem accidentally reawakens Gwen Stacy's dormant spider-powers, turning her into Ghost-Spider.

"My Own Worst Enemy," Sunday, Sept. 15 at 9:30 p.m.

Doc Ock, now in Spider-Man's body, intends to bring New York City to its knees, but instead finds his newly acquired brain still contains some of Peter Parker's memories.

Patton Oswalt returns as Uncle Ben.

"Critical Update," Sunday, Sept 22 at 9:30 p.m.

Doc Ock must adjust to his new life as a hero and is tested by rising crime boss Sand Girl.

Sofia Carson returns as Keemia/Sand Girl.

"A Troubled Mind," Sunday, Sept. 29 at 9:30 p.m.

Superior Spider-Man is confronted by the Avengers, who suspect that he is not who he claims to be.



MARVEL'S SPIDEY AND HIS AMAZING FRIENDS

Marvel Animation & Family Entertainment announced during their panel at Disneyfs D23 Expo a new original animated series for Disney Junior, Marvel's Spidey and His Amazing Friends. Geared toward preschoolers and their families, the series is set to debut in 2021 and will be the first full-length Marvel series for the Disney Junior audience.

Here's how the show is described:

"Our favorite neighborhood web-slinger is used to working solo, but now Peter Parker must discover what it takes to become a truly amazing super hero: being a spider friend who works well with others. Together with his friends Miles Morales and Gwen AKA Ghost-Spider, they will team up with heroes such as Hulk, Black Panther and Ms. Marvel, to defeat evil foes and learn that teamwork is the best way to save the day."

"Preschool kids already love Spidey, so they'll be delighted to have Peter Parker thwipping across their screens in this new series," said Cort Lane, senior vice president, Marvel Animation & Family Entertainment.

"Everyone at Marvel is thrilled to launch our first preschool series on Disney Junior, the gold standard platform for the audience. We believe parents and kids will be excited about these stories filled with themes of friendship, cooperation, solving problems and using your abilities to help others."

Marvel's Spidey and His Amazing Friendsh is executive produced by Lane, Alan Fine, Joe Quesada, Dan Buckley and Eric Radomski. The show is co-executive produced by Marsha Griffin, supervising producer is Harrison Wilcox, Alfred Gimeno as supervising animation producer and Ashley Mendoza is story editor.



BIG HERO 6: THE SERIES IN SEPTEMBER

Hiro writes a story about Big Hero 6 for a class project.

Karmi and Hiro team up to help treat someone with genetically engineered parasites.

Big Hero 6 must continue to fight off a city overrun with monsters.

When Fred runs into a string of bad luck, Megan reveals to Hiro that shefs trying to uncover the true identities of Big Hero 6 for her schoolfs newspaper.

Nestor Carbonell and Isabella Gomez return as Chief Cruz and Megan, respectively.

"El Fuego," Monday, Sept. 9 at 3:30 p.m.

Professional mech-wrestler El Fuego (Horatio Sanz) is intent on becoming the toughest fighter in San Fransokyo and decides he must beat the strongest challenger he can find, Baymax.

"The Globby Within," Tuesday, Sept. 10 at 3:30 p.m.

Nega-Globby takes control of Globby's body to cause chaos around the city.

"Hardlight," Wednesday, Sept. 11 at 3:30 p.m.

Evil villain Hardlight (guest-star Will Friedle) challenges the Big Hero 6 team to a real-life video game duel.

FRIDAY BOX OFFICE: Angel Has Fallen topped the domestic box office Friday in its opening day with an estimated $7.9 million.

Spider-Man: Far From Home brought in $0.4 million to push its total to $378.5 million.
