STARGIRL: "PILOT"

The CW has released images and details from "Pilot," the episode of Supergirl airing on Tuesday, May 19, a day after its premiere on DC Universe.

Here's how the network describes the episode:

"When Courtney's (Brec Bassinger) seemingly perfect life in Los Angeles gets upended with a move to Blue Valley, Nebraska with her mother Barbara (Amy Smart), stepfather Pat (Luke Wilson) and stepbrother Mike (Trae Romano), she finds herself struggling to adapt to her new town and high school. But when Courtney discovers that Pat is harboring a major secret about his past, she ultimately becomes the unlikely inspiration for a new generation of superheroes."

Glen Winter directed the episode, written by Geoff Johns.

MORTAL KOMBAT LEGENDS: SCORPION'S REVENGE

Warner Bros. Home Entertainment has released the first clip and new images from Mortal Kombat Legends: Scorpion's Revenge.

The clip finds Hollywood star-turned-fighter Johnny Cage trying to get a handle on his new project, not yet realizing it's a war, not a film, chatting with his new teammates Liu Kang and Sonya Blade, and leader Raiden.

Joel McHale gives voice to Johnny Cage, Jennifer Carpenter voices Sonya Blade, Jordan Rodrigues is Liu Kang and David B. Mitchell is Raiden.

Here's how the movie is described:

"Based on the worldwide hit game created by Ed Boon and John Tobias, Mortal Kombat Legends: Scorpion's Revenge spotlights the once-in-a-generation tournament between the champions of Outworld and Earthrealm -- a competition that will ultimately determine the fate of Earth and all its citizens. Lord Raiden, protector of Earthrealm, must gather the greatest fighters of his realm to defend it from the evil Shang Tsung in the battle to end all battles - Mortal Kombat!"

The film arrives from Warner Bros. Home Entertainment on digital starting April 12, and on 4K Ultra HD Combo Pack, Blu-ray Combo Pack and DVD on April 28.

ARCHIE'S NEW PARTNERSHIP: Archie Comics has introduced a new line of comics-inspired apparel and accessories in partnership with the artist-focused ecommerce company Threadless.

The new Archie Comics-themed items feature unexpected takes on classic Archie characters, including Tarot card-inspired designs, classic logo artwork, cheerleading and biker art styles, and art from the recent Sabrina the Teenage Witch comic book series reboot.

"Times are tough and at Threadless, we want to help. We're refocusing our entire company to help support independent artists and small businesses who are hurting the most right now," said Jake Nickell, Threadless founder and CEO. "We're excited to see Archie Comics develop this amazing line of merch for their fans. I'm loving the Tarot card designs!"

The partnership dovetails with an expanded effort by Threadless to promote and support its network of independent artists who may be impacted by the COVID-19 outbreak, many of whom rely in part on the companyfs wide-reaching ecommerce platform for income. The new Community Action Plan includes an increase in earnings for artists of up to 60 percent, via reduction in base apparel fees through May 31.

TITAN COMICS' MS. TREE: Titan Comics has scheduled a July 21 release for Ms. Tree Volume 2: Skeleton in the Closet, written by Max Allan Collins and illustrated by Terry Beatty.

Here's how Titan describes the book:

"Join Ms. Michael Tree, the 6ft, 9mm carrying private detective on her thrilling adventures as she solves crimes and fights to get her revenge for her murdered husband. No case is too small, no violence too extreme, just as long as it gets the job done."

The second collection of five Ms. Tree comics will cost $24.99.

TALKING DEAD GUESTS: Guests on Sunday's Talking Dead including The Walking Dead cast members Khary Payton (King Ezekiel), Josh McDermitt (Eugene),and newest cast member Paola Lazaro (Princess) via Skype, along with showrunner Angela Kang via call in.

The show starts at 10:02 p.m. (ET/PT), following "The Tower" episode of The Walking Dead.
