MARVEL COMICS' EMPYRE TRAILER

Marvel Comics has released a trailer for Empyre, its next big event that launches on July 15.

To watch the trailer, CLICK HERE.

Here how Marvel describes the s tory:

"After millennia of war, Emperor Hulkling has united the Kree and Skrull empires into one powerful Alliance -- and only the Avengers and Fantastic Four stand in their path as their armada bears down upon the Earth."

"The Kree/Skrull war is one of the deepest cuts in the Marvel cosmos. And whether you're new to the Marvel Universe or have been a fan since the very beginning, Empyre will touch on a part of this conflict you care about," said co-writer Dan Slott.

"The two star-spanning empires have kept each other in check for generations, keeping each other from getting too strong, so both of them aligning together after all this time is probably bad news," co-writer Al Ewing said. "Some of the twists and turns we've got waiting for readers will be genuinely shocking."

DEATHSTROKE: KNIGHTS & DRAGONS

Warner Bros. Home Entertainment has set August 4 and August 18 release dates, respectively, for digital and Blu-ray release of Deathstroke: Knights & Dragons.

Here's how Warner describes the animated movie:

"Deathstroke: Knights & Dragons offers a new take on the Deathstroke legacy. Mercenary and master assassin Slade Wilson leads two lives: one as the relentless killer known as Deathstroke, and the other as a dedicated family man. When these worlds collide, forced together by the vicious terror group known as H.I.V.E., it is the killer in Slade who must fight to save his loved ones, as well as what remains of himself. With his soul torn apart and his young son held captive, Deathstroke will have to atone for the sins of his past to fuel the battles of his future!"

Deathstroke: Knights & Dragons has been produced in a dual format -- initially as animated shorts, the first five of which appeared on CW Seed. With a runtime of 87 minutes, the feature-length Deathstroke: Knights & Dragons film has nearly 50 minutes of never-before-seen content, including the film's climax.

Both Blu-ray and digital formats will contain "Deathstroke: One-Man Death Machine," a new featurette.

DYNAMITE'S SCHEDULE FOR JULY 1

Dynamite Entertainment is offering five of its best-selling and best-reviewed titles for release on July 1.

"Our number one focus at Dynamite since the beginning of the pandemic has been making sure that the return of our titles to stores and to fans is executed as perfectly as we can," said Nick Barrucci, Dynamite CEO and publisher. "Not only for the strength of us as a publisher, but more so to make sure that our retailer friends come back strong and fans get excited. We usually do not release two titles featuring the same characters in the same week, such as Vampirella and Red Sonja, but when we saw that July 1 was going to have limited best-selling releases, we wanted to ensure that retailers had our strongest selection of books to sell.

"We also believe that for retailers this could be the perfect opportunity to have promotions to sell back issues to your fans leading up to the holiday on July 4. We know retailers are going to have a tough week, and we want them to do as well as possible planning in advance. These titles are also available for immediate re-orders to help capitalize."
