DC COMICS' DARK NIGHTS: DEATH METAL

DC Comics has released artwork and details for Justice League #53, arriving on Sept. 15 as the launch for the "Doom Metal" story arc.

Here's how DC describes the issue:

"Justice League #53 kicks off 'Doom Metal' part one of five -- the Dark Nights: Death Metal tie-in that will directly impact the finale of that event! Nightwing's on a mission to free the Legion of Doom from Perpetua's clutches. But to do so, he'll need the help of none other than...Lex Luthor?! The surprises are only just beginning, as Nightwing, Lex, and a new Justice League must fight their way through an Earth twisted by the Dark Multiverse. Titans will be tested, hearts will be broken, and blood will be spilled!

"'Doom Metal' begins with Nightwing discovering an assembled Justice League for the first time, years before he would become a member. Take a look at the opening scene, and get ready for more incredible Justice League action in the months to come! 'Doom Metal' will also feature the first appearance of Mindhunter, a new, twisted Dark Knight who is combined with Martian Manhunter, the first appearance of Omega Knight -- a Frankenstein's Monster version of the Omega Titans from Justice League: No Justice, the longtime-coming reunion of the Teen Titans: Nightwing, Cyborg, and Starfire and more!"

Justice League #53, is written by Joshua Williamson, with art by Xermanico, colors by Romulo Fajardo Jr., lettering by Tom Napolitano, cover by Liam Sharp and Dave Stewart and a variant cover by Ian MacDonald. It hits shelves on September 15.

Lucifer: Seasons 1-5 (Original Television Soundtrack) features 13 songs from the first five seasons of the series, featuring performances by series stars Tom Ellis, Lauren German and Lesley Ann-Brandt, as well as guest-star Lindsey Gort and performer Skye Townsend. Recently renewed for a sixth and final season, Lucifer's fifth season premiered Friday on Netflix.

Tom Ellis, who plays the title character, said: "The music of Lucifer has been one of the main reasons I have loved playing this role. It rekindles my passion for singing, which ironically started in church when I was a child. Funny old world, isnft it?"

DC's Stargirl: Season 1 (Original Television Score) features 22 tracks from the debut season of the hit series. Recently wrapping its first season on The CW, Stargirl was recently renewed for a second season.

The show features an epic score by film and television composer Pinar Toprak, who received her first Primetime Emmy nomination this year for her work on HBO's McMillions.

"I'm a huge fan of show creator Geoff Johns and everything he's done," Toprak said. "When we met, the way he talked about Courtney, the character, and his vision for DC's Stargirl really touched my heart. Obviously, I love this genre to begin with, so it was a no-brainer to compose the score. Working with Geoff was just one of the best experiences of my career, to be honest."
