DAUTERMAN'S HELLFIRE SAGA VARIANTS

Marvel Comics has unveiled Russell Dauterman's connecting variant for its 12-issue Hellfire Gala event in its X-Men titles.

"X-Men costumes are one of my favorite things. As a teenager that's what I would draw the most ... doodles of an X-character in all their looks. So, I'm absolutely thrilled... designing costumes for the mutants is top-of-the-list, dream job stuff," Dauterman said. "The Hellfire Gala is unique and exciting for the X-Men, and this opportunity is really special for me. I tried to have that come across in the character designs. As Emma Frost said, 'The whole world is watching us now. We must be nothing less than fabulous.'"

The Dauterman variant covers will be on Marauders #21, X-Force #20 and Hellions #12 on June 2, Excalibur #21 and X-Men #21 on June 9, Planet Size X-Men #1, New Mutants #19 and X-Corp #2 on June 16, Wolverine #13, S.W.O.R.D. #6 and Way of X #3 on June 23 and X-Factor #10 on June 30.

THE CW PICKS UP MORE STARGIRL

The CW Network has renewed two more series for the 2021-2022 season, including a third season of DC's Stargirl and a second season of Kung Fu, it was announced by Mark Pedowitz, chairman and chief executive pfficer, The CW Network.

"We are beyond proud to continue to share the stories of Nicky Shen and Courtney Whitmore, two strong, powerful young women at the center of this new generation of hit shows for The CW in Kung Fu and DC's Stargirl," Pedowitz said.

"While each boasts remarkable talent on both sides of the camera, Kung Fu and DC's Stargirl have not only treated fans to some visually stunning action and high-flying heroics, but they also both strike very powerful emotional chords as they delve into the family dynamics and personal relationships at their core, and we are so excited to see what happens next."

Last year's series premiere of Stargirl was The CW's most-watched summer debut in 6 years. Season 2 of Stargirl premieres Tuesday, August 10 at 8 p.m. (ET/PT).

Stargirl follows high school sophomore Courtney Whitmore (Brec Bassinger) and her stepfather Pat Dugan (Luke Wilson) as she leads an unlikely group of young heroes to take on the legacy of DC's very first superhero team, the Justice Society of America. In the thrilling second season, Courtney and her friends take on one of the most frightening adversaries in DC's mythology, the dark entity of corruption known as Eclipso.

DC's Stargirl stars Brec Bassinger as Courtney Whitmore/Stargirl, Luke Wilson as Pat Dugan, Amy Smart as Barbara Whitmore, Yvette Monreal as Yolanda Montez/Wildcat, Anjelika Washington as Beth Chapel/Dr. Mid-Nite, Cameron Gellman as Rick Tyler/Hourman, Trae Romano as Mike Dugan, Hunter Sansone as Cameron Mahkent, Meg DeLacy as Cindy Burman/Shiv and Nick Tarabay as Eclipso.

Stargirl and Kung Fu join the previously announced 13 current series The CW has ordered for the 2021-2022 season, including a second season of Superman & Lois, a third season of Batwoman, a seventh season of DC's Legends of Tomorrow, an eighth season of The Flash and a sixth season of Riverdale.
