SUPERGIRL: "MXY IN THE MIDDLE"
The CW has released images and details from "Mxy in the Middle," the episode of Supergirl premiering on Tuesday, Sept. 14 at 9 p.m. (ET/PT).
Here's how the network describes the episode:
"Supergirl (Melissa Benoist) and team must stop Nyxly (Peta Sergeant) from vanquishing a familiar face from Supergirl's past -- Mr. Mxyzptlk (guest-star Thomas Lennon). Mxy returns and explains Nyxly's dark history to the super team in the best way he knows how -- in song form. Meanwhile, Lena (Katie McGrath) visits her mother's birthplace in Newfoundland, eager to dig into her past but is shocked by the small town's icy reception towards her."
The episode was directed by Glen Winter, with story by Rob Wright and teleplay by Elle Lipson and Chandler Smidt.

NEW RIVERDALE: Here's how The CW describes "Chapter Ninety-Three: Dance of Death," the episode of Riverdale airing on Wednesday, Sept. 22:
"After learning that a friend has gone missing, Tabitha (Erinn Westbrook) enlists help from Jughead (Cole Sprouse) and Betty (Lili Reinhart) to investigate the disappearance. Penelope (guest star Nathalie Boltt) plants doubt in Kevin's (Casey Cott) mind, which leads him to confront Cheryl (Madelaine Petsch) about the ministry. Finally, an explosion at the mines leaves several lives hanging in the balance."
Nathalie Boltt directed the episode, written by Devon Turner.
