DARK HORSE COMICS FOR MARCH

Dark Horse Comics has provided The Continuum its solicitations for March.

For the listings, with images, CLICK HERE.

HULK VS. THOR: BANNER OF WAR

Marvel Comics has announced Hulk vs. Thor: Banner of War, a five-part crossover will kick off in Hulk vs. Thor: Banner of War Alpha #1 on April 27 and then move into the characters' respective titles in May and June.

As part of the 60th anniversary of both characters, the crossover is written by Donny Cates, with art by Martin Coccolo and covers by Gary Frank.

Here's how Marvel describes the story:

"In the aftermath of the opening arc of Hulk and the 'God of Hammers' arc currently unfolding in Thor, both Bruce Banner and Thor Odinson have both undergone massive changes, but one thing remains constant -- their heated rivalry! When mysterious circumstances bring them into conflict once more, will the God of Thunder be able to triumph against a Bruce Banner who can now control his rage?"

"Well, I was a little surprised that Marvel approached me to write this, if I'm being honest," Cates said. "I'm mostly known for writing very small, very quiet, intimate comics, so I had to...aha!! Sorry. Couldn't keep that up. Yeah, this is gonna be bonkers as hell, guys. We're going to break Everything! Happy birthday, Hulk and Thor! Hope you enjoy massive amounts of violence!"

"Where do I even start? I get to celebrate Hulk and Thor's 60th anniversaries, which is already amazing and a dream come true, but I get to do it with an insane script by the great Donny Cates and the support of an incredible group of editors? That's just ridiculous," Coccolo said. "I'm absolutely honored by this opportunity and I've been giving it my 100 percent. Hopefully readers will agree. I can only say to all the fans out there to strap yourselves 'cause this is going to be a wild ride."

STAR TREK: DISCOVERY -- ADVENTURES IN THE 32ND CENTURY

IDW Publishing has announced an April launch for Star Trek: Discovery -- Adventures in the 32nd Century.

The new series reunites co-writers Kirsten Beyer and Mike Johnson, whose previous collaboration on Star Trek: Discovery comics included The Light of Kahless, Succession, and Aftermath. The authors are joined by artist Angel Hernandez.

Here's how IDW describes the book:

"Each issue of Adventures in the 32nd Century will spotlight a different cast member, and the first issue's focus promises a unique perspective from the Star Trek franchise as it reveals the secret history of the queen herself: Grudge the Cat! A flashback tale of her first meeting with Cleveland 'Book' Booker sets the stage for a trajectory establishing Grudge as the greatest feline spacefarer of all. Subsequent issues will focus on ensign Adira Tal, Lieutenant Keyla Detmer, and science officer Linus."

"Discovery's arrival in the 32nd century opens up a whole new universe of adventure for the crew, from the feline to the Saurian. It's a blast telling stories eight hundred years in the future of Star Trek, where we really have never been before, exploring different facets of their lives," Johnson aid.

"It's no secret that Star Trek: Discovery's television series has an amazing cast of characters, and being able to translate those characters and their stories into the comics is a real treat for not only the fans, but also us as well," said editor Heather Antos. "Diving deeper into Queen Grudge's mind, to Adira's relationship with Gray and more, Star Trek: Discovery -- Adventures in the 32nd Century gives readers an incredibly detailed perspective of these fan favorite characters."

The first issue will feature covers by Angel Hernandez and and Aaron Harvey.
