BOOM!'S BOOK OF SLAUGHTER

BOOM! Studios has scheduled a December release for Book of Slaughter, a one-shot special set in the Something is Killing the Children universe.
Here's how BOOM! describe the book, written James Tynion IV, with art by Werther Dell'Edera.
"From the sidelines to the spotlight, the White Mask Maxine Slaughter features in this new special issue that ties together threads from both Slaughterverse series, but will her loyalties remain where they have always been, or will she show her true colors?
In addition to being a precursor to upcoming chapters of both Something is Killing the Children and House of Slaughter, this special issue features a sizable guidebook that delves into the deep lore of the Order of St. George!"
"Ever since the early issues of Something is Killing the Children, readers have reached out wanting to know more of the secrets of the mysterious Order of St. George," Tynion said. "I couldn't be more thrilled to deliver a story that not only sets the stage for future arcs of SIKTC and House of Slaughter, but reveals more about the organization at the heart of the series than we've ever revealed before."
"Erica's world is bigger than anyone could ever have expected," Dell'Edera said. "The deeper we go, the more places we find to explore."
IDW'S NEW DEVELOPMENT DEAL
IDW Publishing has announced a new co-development deal with writing duo Matt Silverstein and Dave Jeser.
Under the partnership, the team will develop and produce the sci-fi comedy, Family Time, into a television series and original comic book property.
The comic is scheduled for release next summer, with writer James Asmus and artist Edison Neo attached.
"At IDW, we are perfectly poised to develop properties that live in the same universe, across various platforms," said Nachie Marsham, publisher, IDW. "We're thrilled that our first entertainment and publishing co-development project is with Matt and Dave; their comedic talent is off-the-charts. We know their vast background, combined with IDW's robust expertise, will produce great content, both in print and on-screen."
Silverstein and Jeser have been creating together for more than 20 years, first writing and producing segments for Comedy Central;s Crank Yankers and Drawn Together, as well as Andy Richter Controls the Universe, Golan the Insatiable and Solar Opposites.
"We couldn't be more excited to be working with the entire IDW team, who are exquisitely talented, collaborative, and as charming as we are," said Silverstein and Jeser. "We appreciate being given the opportunity to fail and we truly look forward to doing just that."
