BLACK ADAM IN MEXICO CITY

Warner Bros. has released a gallery of images from the Black Adam global tour event in Mexico City on Monday.

Here's how the movie, arriving on Oct. 21, is described:

"From New Line Cinema, Dwayne Johnson stars in the action adventure Black Adam. The first-ever feature film to explore the story of the DC Super Hero comes to the big screen under the direction of Jaume Collet-Serra.

"Johnson stars alongside Aldis Hodge as Hawkman, Noah Centineo as Atom Smasher, Sarah Shahi as Adrianna, Marwan Kenzari as Ishmael, Quintessa Swindell as Cyclone, Bodhi Sabongui as Amon and Pierce Brosnan as Dr. Fate.

"Collet-Serra directed from a screenplay by Adam Sztykiel. Rory Haines and Sohrab Noshirvani, screen story by Adam Sztykiel and Rory Haines & Sohrab Noshirvani, based on characters from DC. Black Adam was created by Bill Parker and C.C. Beck. CAMPBELL'S FANTASTIC FOUR VARIANTS

J. Scott Campbell will continue to honor the anniversaries of Marvel's greatest icons with a new variant cover for Fantastic Four #1.

Celebrating 60 years, Campebll's latest anniversary covers are just in time for the Fantastic Four's new era by writer Ryan North and artist Iban Coello.

The team's new ongoing will begin with Marvel's First Family going their separate ways after a mysterious incident takes place in New York City. As they find their way back to eachother, the question on every fan's mind will be, "Whatever happened to the Fantastic Four?"

"It's a thrill and an honor to create cover art celebrating the anniversary of characters that have become so iconic and ingrained in our culture," Campbell said. "I really wanted to make images that would have a visual bridge from the pulpy 4 color origins of these monumental heroes to the modern day slick coloring and production we are now all familiar with."

BRIEFLY

SPIDEY CARD: The New York Public Library and Marvel Comics have joined forces to release a limited-edition Spider-Man library card on Oct. 11.

Images of Spider-Man -- alongside Miles Morales and Gwen Stacy, two other web-slingers -- will be featured on the card, as well as on upcoming banners outside the Stephen A. Schwarzman Building and the windows of the Stavros Niarchos Foundation Library.

The release of the Spider-Man card also marks the one-year anniversary of the Library's decision to eliminate fines as a way to remove barriers to accessing the Library for all New Yorkers. This historic move was even a plot point in Marvel Comics' Amazing Spider-Man #900, released on July 27. In a special story written by Daniel Kibblesmith and drawn by David Lopez, Peter Parker returns a large stack of overdue books to the Library after learning of the elimination of late fines.

The launch of the special-edition card also marks the start of the Library's Open House week, which begins Oct. 11. The card will be available to new and current patrons free on a first-come, first-serve basis at all NYPL branches, located throughout the Bronx, Manhattan, and Staten Island.

"Reading is a superpower -- one that provides everyone with the ability to learn, to be inspired, and understand the world more fully," said New York Public Library president Anthony W. Marx. "At The New York Public Library we remain dedicated to providing books and resources that help New Yorkers reach new heights and working with Marvel on this exciting, limited-edition Spider-Man card reinforces the exceptional accomplishments people can achieve when they have access to information. It also states unequivocally that we think our patrons are 'beyond amazing.'"

NEW STARGIRL: Here's how The CW describes "Frenemies, Chapter Seven: Infinity Inc. Part One," the Wednesday, Oct. 19 episode of DC's Stargirl:

"After Beth (Anjelika Washington) makes a major discovery on The Gambler;s laptop, the team moves forward with a risky plan that effects the entire town of Blue Valley. Elsewhere, Jennie (guest-star Ysa Penarejo) returns to the fold seeking help from Courtney (Brec Bassinger)."

Glen Winter directed the episode, written by James Dale Robinson.
