BOOM STUDIOS' RARE FLAVOURS

BOOM! Studios has announced a Sept. 20 launch for Rare Flavours #1, from writer Ram V and artist Filipe Andrade.
Here's how BOOM! describes the book:
"Meet Rubin Baksh, a demonic Rakshasa with a down-to-earth dream of becoming the next Anthony Bourdain. To make his dream come true, Rubin enlists Mo, a down-on-his-luck filmmaker, to document the world-renowned cuisine of India and the people behind the glorious, flavourful food.
"But little does Mo know that there's more to Rubin than meets the eye, and the mortals play a darker role in the show than they were prepared for."
Rare Flavours #1 features a main cover by Andrade, with variants by Faboo Moon, Anand RK and David Mack.
>"Ram and Filipe are a powerhouse of a creative team," said edictor Eric Harburn. "Following their modern classic The Many Deaths of Laila Starr, return to India for a tale of the fleeting joys of life in the duo's next masterpiece, Rare Flavours."

STAR WARS: DARK DROIGS: Marvel Comics has unveiled Rachael Stott's Scouge variant covers for Star Wars: Dark Droide beginning on August. 2.
Here's how Marvel describes the story:
"Written by Charles Soule and drawn by Luke Ross, this dark and terrifying tale will introduce a malevolent entity known as the Scourge which will corrupt droids, cyborgs, and everything in between, and cause chaos for the Empire and Rebellion alike."
