MARVEL ANIMATION ROUNDUP -- UPDATED!

Disney XD has scheduled three new episodes of The Avengers: Earth's Mightiest Heroes as it moves to its new premiere time period of Sundays at 10 a.m.

Following are the episodes, with writing and directing credits:

"Masters of Evil" will premiere on Sunday, Dec. 5 at 10 a.m. The episode was written by Christopher Yost and was directed by Sebastian Montes.

Marvel has released new images from the episode. Click on the thumbnails for larger images.

"459" will premiere on Sunday, Dec. 12 at 10 a.m. The episode was written by Joelle Sellner from a story by Ciro Nieli and was directed by Vinton Heuck.

"Widow's Sting" will premiere on Sunday, Dec. 19 at 10 a.m. The episode was written by Kevin Burke and Chris Wyatt and was directed by Vinton Heuck.

In other Marvel animation news:

* Upcoming episodes of The Super Hero Squad Show on Cartoon Network will include "Another Order of Evil! Pt. 2" on Saturday, Dec. 12 at 6:30 a.m. and "Support Your Local Sky Father!" on Saturday, Dec. 19 at 6:30 a.m.

Both episodes are repeats.



STAR WARS: THE CLONE WARS: "PURSUIT OF PEACE"

Lucasfilm has released a preview clip from "Pursuit of Peace," Friday's new episode of Cartoon Network's Star Wars: The Clone Wars.

Here's how the episode is described:

"Senators Padme Amidala, Bail Organa and Onaconda Farr attempt to rally the senate against a bill that would appropriate funds for millions of new clone troops -- with disastrous financial consequences for the Republic. Their opposition to the measure, however, makes them targets for intimidation and attack."

SMALLVILLE: "LUTHOR"

The CW has released four new clips from "Luthor," Friday's new episode of Smallville.

Here's how the episode is described:

"Tess (Cassidy Freeman) acquires a Kryptonian box that once belonged to Lionel Luthor (John Glover). When Clark (Tom Welling) accidentally activates the box, he's transported to a parallel universe where Lionel found Clark in the cornfields instead of the Kents. In this universe, Clark Luthor is a murderer and Lois (Erica Durance) is engaged to Oliver (Justin Hartley) and both of them hate Clark. Clark must be careful not to tip off Lionel that he's not his son while trying to figure out how to get back to Earth where the monster Clark Luthor was transported in his place."

DC COMICS ROUNDUP

DC Comics has unveiled eight upcoming covers and variants.

They include The Flash #8 by Scott Kolins and Stanley "Artgerm" Lau; DCU Legacies #8 by Frank Quitely; Justice League of America #52 by Mark Bagley; Justice League: Generation Lost #16 from Dustin Nguyen and Kevin Maguire; Teen Titans #90 by Nicola Scott and Wonder Woman #605 from Don Kramer.

In other DC news:

* A second printing for the sold-out Detective Comics #871 will be in stores on Dec. 22. It will feature a recolored version of the original cover by Jock.

* Wildcats #30 will be the final issue.

* The variant cover for Batman Incorporated #2 will be by Yanick Paquette.

* Batman: The Dark Knight #1 will now be in stores Dec. 29.

* Chris Hemsworth (Thor) and Tom Hiddleston (Loki) will reprise their movie roles for Sega's Thor: God of Thunder video game.

* Sony Pictures has released a video of the Black Beauty being put up for display at the Petersen Automotive Museum in Los Angeles.

* Cartoon Network has announced that the one-hour Young Justice event that aired Friday, Nov. 26 drew 2.54 million viewers.

That viewership was a 36 percent increase for Cartoon Network in the same time period from the previous year.

* Spider-Man 2 will return to Cinemax in December.
