MARVEL COMICS ROUNDUP

Marvel Comics has announced Skaar: King of the Savage Land, a five-issue mini-series by writer Rob Williams and artist Bring Ching.

The story picks up with the character after the recent World War Hulks story.

"When we join him he's an itinerant alien, aimless and without a home," Williams said in Marvel's announcement. "There's something about the Savage Land that speaks to him -- the untamed wilderness, an environment where the strong prosper, and he figures he's the strongest one there is. Of course, he may be wrong. Our story is one of Skaar growing up a little. Having to decide a path of his own that doesn't involve revenge on his father; having to make a home of his own."

Ka-Zar and Shanna the She-Devil will also be in the series.

But when Homer insists that Bart must earn the dirt bike, Bart takes matters into his own hands and schemes with Russian and Chinese spies to provide top-secret information in exchange for the new bike, which winds up putting Bart in a precarious situation.
