SHARON STONE IN CATWOMAN?

Sharon Stone has been offered the role of the lead villain in the Catwoman movie, according to a report from The Hollywood Reporter.

Stone would play Laurel, who, according to the trade, "is both the public face of a cosmetics company as well as the brains behind an evil operation she runs with her husband."

The Reporter also says that that Josh Lucas, who played Major Talbot in The Hulk, is being eyed for Detective Lone, Catwoman's love interest.

Catwoman, which will star Halle Berry and will be directed by Pitof, is expected to go before the cameras this fall.

In other casting news:

* According to The Hollywood Reporter, Van Wilder star Ryan Reynolds in final negotiations to star opposite Wesley Snipes in Blade: Trinity. Reynolds would play Hannibal King.

According to Variety, producers are also "circling" around Ashley Scott, who recently played The Huntress in The WB's Birds of Prey series.

* Rachel Weisz is in negotiations to star opposite Keanu Reeves in Warner Bros.' Constantine, the studio confirmed for The Hollywood Reporter.

Weisz would play Angela, an officer who becomes involved with Constantine when her twin sister dies in a mysterious suicide.

Constantine will be directed by Francis Lawrence, from a script by Kevin Brodbin, Mark Bomback and Frank Cappello.
