FANTASTIC FOUR MOVIE UPDATE20th Century Fox has provided a first look at Julian McMahon in character as Victor Von Doom from the Fantastic Four movie. In the film version of Fantastic Four, Doom is a billionaire industrialist and old college rival of Reed Richards. In addition to funding Richards' trip to space, he also accompanies the future Fantastic Four on the ship. McMahon, from Australia, currently stars in the FX series Nip/Tuck, playing Dr. Christian Troy. His other credits include Profiler and Charmed. Click on the images for larger and fuller images. In other notes from the film: * Sue Storm will be known as the Invisible Woman (not Girl) in the film. * Filming is expected to continue in Vancouver, British Columbia through mid-December. * The first trailer for Fantastic Four is expected in theaters during the holiday season. * Look for more of The Continuum's visit to the Fantastic Four set here on Tuesday.
SUPERMAN DVDThe Continuum has obtained a preview of Superman Animated Series: A Little Piece of Home, the DVD that reaches stores on Tuesday from Warner Home Video. The DVD collects four episodes from the Kids' WB! animated series: "A Little Piece of Home," "Speed Demons," "The Late Mr. Kent" and "Where There's Smoke." "Speed Demons" features a Superman vs. Flash race. One of the bonuses is a "A Little Piece of Home" trivia, wherein trivia blurbs pop in at the bottom of the screen during the episode. Facts revolve around the show and its creators and actors, as well as the Superman mythos. Another bonus is a seven-minute video tour of Metropolis. Click on the thumbnails for larger images. STATIC SHOCK UPDATECartoon Network is adding even more Static Shock to its lineup. Beginning Monday, the series, based on the Milestone character, will also air Mondays-Fridays at 6 p.m. Upcoming episodes in the new time period include: "Hards as Nails" on Monday; "Static in Africa" on Tuesday; "Gear" on Wednesday; "The Usual Suspect" on Thursday; "She-Ban" on Friday. "Flashback" on Monday, Oct. 25; "Showtime" on Tuesday, Oct. 26; "A League of Their Own, Pt. 1" on Wednesday, Oct. 27; "Blast from the Past" on Thursday, Oct. 28; "A League of Their Own, Pt. 2" on Friday Oct. 29. The series also airs at 10:30 p.m. Mondays-Thursdays and at 8 a.m. on Sundays.
