PAINKILLER JANE: "PORTRAITS OF LAUREN GRAY"

Sci Fi Channel has released five images from "Portraits of Lauren Gray," the new episode of Painkiller Jane scheduled for Friday.

Here's how the network describes the episode:

"Jane and Maureen go undercover at a fashion show to discover what -- or who -- is turning young, attractive women into elderly seniors overnight with deadly results."

The episode was written by Rob Gilmer and directed by Peter DeLuise.

FANTASTIC FOUR: "IMPOSSIBLE"

"Impossible," a new episode of Cartoon Network's Fantastic Four, is scheduled to premiere on Saturday at 9:30 p.m.

Here's how the episode is described:

"Reed summons one of his deep-space probes back to the Baxter Building for repairs, only to find that someone has hitched a ride on it back to Earth: the Impossible Man! The small, impish alien seems harmless enough, but the Fantastic Four soon realize that this creature, who can turn into anything, has turned into a big problem for them!

"Now they have to figure out how to get the Impossible Man off the planet before he goes from 'annoying' to Œdangerous!'"

BRIEFLY

* Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer went into the weekend as the No. 1 movie at the domestic box office.

The film brought in $3.9 million on Thursday to push its total to $77.4 million.

In other Fantastic Four news, NBC has released an image from star Michael Chiklis' appearance on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno earlier this week.

Chiklis discussed a scene that involved him working with a 10-foot bear.

* DreamWorks Studios and Universal Pictures have acquired the rights to Platinum Studios' graphic novel Cowboys & Aliens.Brian Grazer and Ron Howard will produce for Imagine Entertainment, along with Platinum Studios chairman and CEO Scott Mitchell Rosenberg, Alex Kurtzman and Roberto Orci. Mark Fergus and Hawk Ostby are expected to adapt the science-fiction western adventure for the screen.
