COMING WEDNESDAY

DC news -- and much more!!!

X-MEN: THE LAST STAND DVD

The Continuum has obtained the titles and running times of the three alternate endings for the X-Men: Last Stand DVD, which will be released on Oct. 3.

* "New School Year Begins" runs 32 seconds. This has Storm and Beast welcoming kids to the school and is cut down from a previous version that had them walking through the school.

* "Rogue Return" runs 34 seconds. As previously discussed by director Brett Ratner, this involves Rogue's decision whether or not to take the cure.

* "Logan Returns to Alberta, Canada" runs 1:09.

In other X-Men news, Fox UK has released several images from the film, including a couple of Patrick Stewart and Ian McKellen, made younger through computer effects for the opening scene in the film.

THE BATMAN SEASON 2 DVD

The Continuum has obtained a first look at some of the screen menus for The Batman: The Complete Second Season.

The two-disc set will be in stores on Sept. 19, along with Teen Titans: The Complete Second Season.

Here's how Warner Home Video describes the set:

"Batman will fight against the most complex foe of all, the Riddler. Only Batman can stump this evil genius and the likes of the Joker, Mr. Freeze and Penguin. From his battles, Batman forms an unlikely alliance with police detective, Jim Gordon who is devoted to making Gotham City safe again."

The primary extra is "Catching Up with...The Batman," a montage of clips -- with episode titles attached -- from the first season.
