GHOST RIDER MOVIE UPDATE

Sony Pictures has provided The Continuum with two images from the Ghost Rider movie.

The movie, written and directed by Mark Steven Johnson, continues toward a July 14 release.

"Post-production is going great," Marvel Studios' Ari Arad told The Continuum on Thursday. "We're starting to get visual effects in."

The images show Nicolas Cage, who plays Johnny Blaze, and Sam Elliott, who plays Caretaker. This is Elliott's second Marvel film; he was General Ross in Hulk.

During a recent convention appearance, Johnson said that Ghost Rider is targeted as a PG-13 film, a rating he doesn't think will be a difficult obstacle.

"I think PG-13 is going further and further in a good way," he said. "I think you can get more in a PG-13. War of the Worlds was PG-13 and there's some pretty intense stuff in there, really intense, graphic stuff."
