THE BATMAN: "THE END OF THE BATMAN"

Kids' WB! has released a description and four images from "The End of The Batman," Saturday's new episode of The Batman.

Here's how the network describes the episode:

"Batman and Robin meet their criminal twins, Wrath and Scorn, a dynamic duo dedicated to helping villains. Matters get even more complicated when Batman and Wrath uncover each other's secret identity. Guest characters include a cavalcade of villainy: Joker, Penguin, Ventriloquist, Killer Croc and Wrath/Will Mallory & Scorn/Andy Mallory."

"The End of The Batman" is written by Robert Goodman and directed by Vinton Heuck.

THE SPECTACULAR SPIDER-MAN UPDATE

The Rhino will be spotlighted in the seventh episode of Kids' WB!'s upcoming The Spectacular Spider-Man animated series.

The episode is tentatively titled "The Invisible Hand" and is part of the series' second story arc. It is directed by Dave Bullock, director of the Justice League: The New Frontier movie.

In other Spider-Man news:

* Tom Wilson is providing the voice of Stan Carter.

* Supervising director Victor Cook said he wanted to give "some Hong Kong flair" to the series. "For me, Spider-Man is all about speed and movement and we wanted to make sure our designs were animatable," he said.

Producer Greg Weisman said the look of the series is "very iconic but very, very fresh."

ARCHIE COMICS' MAYHEM

Archie Comics is promising "mayhem" in May, shaking up several of its characters.

The publisher on Monday released early solicitations for three of its titles, showcasing Jughead, Cheryl Blossom and Salem.

BEN 10: ALIEN FORCE ON CARTOON NETWORK

Ben 10: Alien Force will launch this spring with a one-hour episode, Cartoon Network has announced.

The series was created by Man of Action (Joe Casey, Joe Kelly, Duncan Rouleau and Steve Seagle), executive produced by Sam Register, produced by Glen Murakami and story edited by Dwayne McDuffie.

Here's how the network describes the series:

"Ben 10: Alien Force begins the next chapter in the continuing Ben 10 saga five years later when 15-year-old Ben Tennyson chooses to once again put on the Omintrix and discovers that it has reconfigured his DNA and can now transform him into 10 brand new aliens. Joined by his super-powered cousin Gwen Tennyson and his equally powerful former enemy Kevin Levin, Ben is on a mission to find his missing Grandpa Max. In order to save his Grandpa, Ben must defeat the evil DNAliens, a powerful alien race intent on destroying the galaxy, starting with planet Earth. Ben will join forces with other young heroes to save the galaxy and his Grandpa Max, while passing along his knowledge to a whole new generation."

The voice cast includes Yuri Lowenthal as Ben, Ashley Johnson as Gwen and Greg Cipes as Kevin. Lowenthal voices Superman in Legion of Super Heroes, and Cipes was Beast Boy in Teen Titans.

* The Iron Man commercial was among the least five popular Super Bowl spots, according to USA Today's Super Bowl Ad Meter. The spot for Wanted didn't fare much better, placing 32nd.

* The CW is pre-empting Smallville on Thursday, Feb. 21 for an additional episode of Supernatural.

* Sean McKeever has announced that Birds of Prey #117 will be his final issue as writer of the DC Comics title.
