WIZARD WORLD TEXAS: LAURA VANDERVOORT

This was a little different than Laura Vandervoort's first comic-book convention.

Last summer, she appeared at Comic-Con International, with only a couple of scenes as Kara, aka Supergirl, under her belt. She was joined by castmates and executive producers Al Gough and Miles Millar for a Smallville presentation before a packed room of about 2,000.

Vandervoort's appearance at Wizard World Texas on Sunday was more intimate. Smaller room. Smaller crowd. And she was joined only be a moderator.

It gave the fans, who lined up over the weekend for her photo and autograph, a chance to meet the latest figure in the Superman TV/movie legacy.

Look for The Continuum's one-on-one interview with Vandervoort and more Smallville news soon.

HEROES: "POWERLESS"

NBC has released nine images from "Powerless," the Monday, Dec. 3 episode of Heroes.

The episode concludes "Volume II" Generations" of the series.

Here's how the network describes the episode:

"Deep below Primatech Paper in Odessa, Texas, Peter's reunion with Nathan turns violent when the brothers, Matt and Hiro all clash thanks to Adam and his pursuit of the deadly Shanti Virus. After watching his heroic cousin captured by a street gang, Micah turns to the one person who can help him save Monica -- his mom.

"Meanwhile, Maya tragically learns how much of a monster Sylar really is during his kidnapping of Molly and Suresh. Meanwhile, Elle decides to play hero to get back into her father's good graces."
