STEPHEN COLBERT IN AMAZING SPIDER-MAN

Marvel Comics on Wednesday announced that Comedy Central's Stephen Colbert will be featured in an eight-page story in Amazing Spider-Man #573.

The story is written by Mark Waid, with art by Patrick Olliffe and will present Colbert, a candidate for the U.S. presidency in the Marvel Universe, teaming up with Spider-Man.

The issue will lead with the conclusion of the "New Ways To Die" story by Dan Slott and John Romita Jr. It will also include a Colbert variant cover by Marvel editor-in-chief Joe Quesada and a Zombie variant by Marko Djurdjevic.

Amazing Spider-Man #573 will be in stores on Oct. 15.

LIQUID COMICS BUYS OUT VIRGIN MANAGEMENT

Liquid Comics has announced it has completed the management buyout of Virgin Comics, led by the founding management team of Gotham Chopra, Sharad Devarajan and Suresh Seetharaman.

Liquid Comics will continue to develop innovative digital, film, animation, and gaming projects for its original character, stories and other properties.

Commenting on the change, Sharad Devarajan said, "Virgin Group has been a fantastic partner with whom to work and together we have established a strong foundation of great character properties and media partnerships.

"We remain fully committed to continuing our mission to provide a home for innovative creators and storytellers across the world."

Virgin Group senior vice president of corporate development Dan Porter said, "The management team has a track record of great relationships with artists and media partners. KNIGHT RIDER: DEANNA RUSSO

Deanna Russo stars in NBC's updated new drama series Knight Rider as Sarah Graiman, childhood best friend and one-time girlfriend of Mike Traceur, son of Michael Knight.

The series debuts on Wednesday night, and Russo recently talked about the new interpretation of the concept and her character.
