GREEN ARROW ON THE BATMAN

Green Arrow will be spotlighted in an episode of Kids' WB!'s The Batman this season.

The episode was written by Stan Berkowitz.

"It's Oliver Queen, there was no other choice," Berkowitz said. "I grew up with the Silver Age, so there's just no way we could have done anything else but Oliver Queen.

"The part that I enjoyed most about the Green Arrow script is that it's an origin tale. I think that one of the problems that DC has, in comparison to Marvel, is that the Marvel people have better origins. By that I mean, more painful origins. And that may be why there may be so many more Marvel guys in the movies, where DC has had only Superman and Batman -- so far.

"This is our little effort, I think, to try to change that."

Berkowitz said the Green Arrow story was difficult, with the last revisions on the script made just 15 minutes before recording.

Chris Hardwick is providing the voice of Green Arrow.
