NAMOR MOVIE UPDATE

Conceptual artwork for the Namor live-action movie has begun, Marvel Studios' Kevin Feige told The Continuum.

Namor is set up at Universal Pictures, with David Self (Road to Perdition) writing the script.

"Namor, that's a big one," Feige told The Continuum during its recent visit to the Marvel Studios offices. "We just got a new draft of the script in. The script is so spectacular and there are so many great things in it, we just wanted to have a conceptual artist come in and start doing some early renders.

"Then when we get a director on board, he'll come in and steer the project."

Because of its scope -- Namor has been described as "Star Wars underwater" -- it appears the earliest the movie would be in theaters would be 2006.

Look for more from The Continuum's visit to Marvel Studios on Tuesday.

NEW SMALLVILLE EPISODE

The WB has released three images from "Delete," this Wednesday's new episode of Smallville.

Here's how the episode is described:

"Clark (Tom Welling) and Lana (Kristin Kreuk) each make an attempt on Chloe's (Allison Mack) life for unknown reasons after they receive a mysterious e-mail from the Sommerholt Institute. Clark must discover the source of these e-mails after Chloe reveals she has uncovered proof that they are doing mind-control research at the lab and realizes they must be trying to kill her in order to prevent her from writing an expose. Meanwhile, Lana decides to rent the apartment above the café to Adam (guest star Ian Somerhalder) even though she feels he is hiding something dangerous about his past."

Pat Williams directed the episode, which was written by Brian Peterson and Kelly Souders.
