FANTASTIC FOUR: RISE OF THE SILVER SURFER ROUNDUP

The Continuum has obtained a first look at the special Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer paint scheme that driver Elliott Sadler will sport in an upcoming NASCAR race.

Sadler's Dodge Charger No. 19 will feature the look at the Coca-Cola 600, a NASCAR Nextel event on May 27.

The paint scheme showcases a ghost-like Silver Surfer shooting across the hood, while flames explode over the nose and up the fenders of the Fantasticar. The Fantastic Four logo will also adorn both rear quarter panels.

Cast members Ioan Gruffudd, Jessica Alba, Chris Evans and Michael Chilkis will be at the race. They will serve as honorary race officials and take part in various activities around the track prior to the main event.

Click on the thumbnail for a multi-angle view of the paint scheme.

Dodge has a big tie-in with the film, as the Fantasticar will actually be a Dodge. Among the Dodge cues on the Fantasticar are the brand's signature crosshair grille with ram's head logo and the Dodge name on the front and rear fascias. A red ram's head logo also appears on the seat headrests.

Dodge will debut its new Fantasticar ad in theaters on Saturday.

TOP COW'S FIRST FIRST BORN COVER

Top Cow Productions has provided The Continuum a first look at the gatefold panoramic cover by Stjepan Sejic for First Born #1.

The cover, which kicks off Top Cow's three-issue summer event, feature the forces of Light, Dark and The Balance caught in the middle along with the supporting players.

The first issue will also feature a second cover by Marc Silvestri.

Here's how Top Cow describes the event:

"Billed as the most important story to ever hit the Top Cow Universe, First Born promised to deliver with major shake ups and big revelations that will change the face of the world in three jam-packed issues. Erupting from the events of the ongoing Witchblade series, writer Ron Marz finally reveals to fans the secrets behind Sara Pezzini's unexpected pregnancy. Pezzini first realized she was with child in the landmark Witchblade #100, but until now the nature of her pregnancy and the identity of the father have remained a mystery.

"At the start of First Born #1, Pezzini is on leave from the NYPD and no longer in possession of the mystical Witchblade. Unknown to her, epic events are unfolding around her. Agents of the Angelus are seeking a new host, but first they want mob boss and bearer of The Darkness, Jackie Estacado out of the wayŠ permanently. The cold war between the forces of Light and Dark is heating up and Sara will be caught in the middle. Plus the stunning circumstances surrounding Sara's mysterious conception will be unveiled!"

"First Born represents a big payoff for the people who have been following Witchblade, but it also serves as an introduction to the Top Cow universe as a whole," Marz said. "We've set out to make this a satisfying story for faithful readers as well as new readers, and to accomplish that in just three issues.

"Right now the trend in crossovers is these huge, sprawling events whose sheer scope can serve as a barrier to readers. With First Born, we're telling a story that first and foremost focuses on the characters, and has a beginning, middle and most importantly, an end."
