SPIDER-MAN 3 IN NEW YORK

Spider-Man Week in New York City kicked off on Monday morning as the Spider-Man 3 cast appeared on NBC's Today.

New York Mayor Michael Bloomberg brought an official city proclamation, presenting it to Spider-Man 3 star Tobey Maguire.

"It may be the most important thing I do this week," Bloomberg said.

Maguire was interviewed by Today's Meredith Vieira and then cast members Thomas Haden Church, James Franco, Bryce Dallas Howard, Topher Grace were interviewed by Al Roker.

"This is so exciting," Maguire said. "I've loved being all over the world, but we're bringing Spider-Man back to New York City, his hometown."

Kirsten Dunst was also with the cast and will be featured separately by Today on Tuesday.

The film was scheduled to premiere in Queens on Monday night as part of the Tribeca Film Festival.
