JUSTICE LEAGUE ANIMATED UPDATE

The Atom will be appearing in the upcoming Justice League Unlimited animated series, courtesy of two veteran comics writers.

"Atom's going to be great," story editor Dwayne McDuffie told The Continuum. "Warren Ellis wrote the first Atom episode."

"He gave him an intersting personality," story editor Stan Berkowitz added. "And then J.M. DeMatteis did the second one, and built on that personality."

In other Justice League news:

* Justice League Unlimited will launch on Aug. 7 on Cartoon Network.

* Andrew Kreisberg wrote an episode involving Booster Gold.

"The concept was Rosenkrantz & Guildenstern," Berkowitz told The Continuum. "With all this big stuff going on, here's a guy who's involved in a small part of it and not very happy about his lot in life."

* The entire main voice cast returns for the third season, including Kevin Conroy at Batman, George Newbern as Superman, Michael Rosenbaum as Flash, Phil LaMarr as Green Lantern, Susan Eisenberg as Wonder Woman, Maria Canals as Hawkgirl and Carl Lumbly as Martian Manhunter.

  • Electronic Arts has released a description of its upcoming Catwoman game, based on the movie.

    Here's how the game is described:

  • "Gamers will control Halle Berry as Catwoman as they play the movie, utilizing her unique cat-like skills, senses, and cunning to defeat her enemies. The film and game are based upon the DC Comics character and follow the story of Patience Phillips, who is killed after she uncovers a dark secret held by her employers. Brought back to life by a rare Egyptian cat, she becomes Catwoman and sets out to discover the truth about herself and her murderer. Boasting incredible acrobatic skills, Catwoman can leap across roofs, run up walls, pounce on prey, utilize unique 'cat senses,; and avoid enemy bullets with feline grace. In addition, she can use her whip to swing through the air and utilize the fully interactive environments to trap or knock her foes unconscious. The game will take players through more than multiple levels set in seven different locations from the movie."

    Catwoman is scheduled for release this summer for the PlayStation 2 console, Xbox, Nintendo GameCube, Game Boy Advance and PC.
